Getting Started

The Key Tester tool helps you test and verify your keyboard keys. It shows you important information about each key press, including the key name, code, and location on the keyboard.

How to Use

1. Click or tap inside the test area (the large box) to focus it

2. Press any key on your keyboard

3. The tool will display information about the pressed key:

  • Key Name: The name or character of the pressed key
  • Key Code: The numerical code associated with the key
  • Key Location: Where the key is located (standard, left, right, numpad)

4. Use the "Clear Results" button to reset all values

Common Uses

This tool is useful for:

  • Testing if all keyboard keys are working properly
  • Finding key codes for programming or gaming configurations
  • Verifying modifier keys (Shift, Ctrl, Alt) functionality
  • Testing special keys and function keys
